PSM: Common Tasks for Office 365

To celebrate one year of Office 365 we today release PSM: Common Tasks for Office 365 (aka version 2 of PSM)

PSM is a PowerShell launcher / GUI that easily and quickly lets you manage your Office 365 tenant via PowerShell, all in an easy to use form based interface while still learning how to use PowerShell
PSM is built on Microsoft InfoPath 2010, for Office 365 and runs from your Outlook inbox.

Do you find it time consuming and sometime troublesome to manage your systems in PowerShell? Personally I tend to forget some of the different commandlets (cmdlets) that are available and the verbs and nouns available for it.
So I have to spend a lot of time in the get-help section of PowerShell. And I got bored of having to ask my customers the same questions over and over again when setting up policy’s for them, think of a ActiveSync policy for example, so I created PSM(PowerShell Master) , it´s basically a form that you fill out that generates a PowerShell command that you can either run with the click of a button, copy paste it to a script or paste it manually in to PowerShell.

PowerShell Master is designed to let you easily and quickly manage your Office 365 tenant via PowerShell in an easy to use GUI while still learning how to use PowerShell.

Many of the tools out there today does kind of the same thing, but they won´t learn you PowerShell as good as PSM. At the end of every form there is a output view where you see the results on the questions you have answered, this is the PowerShell command that will be run when you hit the “Run Command button” but before that, you can edit the field and add you own code or just look through it to start learning PowerShell.
